5, Pete Sampras

Pete Sampras is a name to make difficult for judgement when he won only three of four Grand Slam tournament during his career. However, he maintained the number one tennis men in the international ranking during six consecutive years. So, how to appreciate his success?

He was born in 1971. Then he started profession in 1988 at California. In 2002, he decided to retire after he won the US Open Glam Slam event. It was the last title he could reach in his tennis career.

During the pro, he got total 64 titles for 3 main Grand Slam and 7 titles in Wimbledon.

He was inducted into Tennis hall of fame in 2007 after his retirement.

Before he retired, he was voted for the best tennis player all the time. Although there was several disputes, he deserved to become one of the best players in tennis history.

6, Bjorn Borg

Bjorn was from Sweden. With the quiet performance, he dominated tennis in 1970s excellently. Someone still memorized about a tennis player with a long-hair.

The fact, he had a short career at the age of 26 when he retired in 1983. However, the title he collected was dramatic. It included in 11 Grand slam titles, 5 consecutive titles in Wimbledon and also the French Open.

He was voted to the Tennis hall of fame in 1987.
