Although Maria Sharapova is a Russian professional player, she has lived in the US as a permanent resident since 1994. She was ranked the world’s No.1 singles player by WTA for wining five Majors titles. The five titles in Grand Slam titles include Wimbledon, the US Open and Australian Open, and two titles in the French Open. She also holds a record as the first Russian woman to hold titles in Major championships.
Other top women in tennis today include the Caroline Wozniacki and Naomi Osaka. Caroline Wozniacki held the Australian Open title in 2018, and also she has 30 WTA singles titles. Naomi Osaka won the US Open title in 2018 and the Australian Open in 2019.
